Daniel Borris has been making photographs for many years. His photographs have appeared in the New York Times, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, The Washington Post, and Smithsonian among many others. He has photographed the famous and infamous; from cold war spies to writers, actors, scientists, and musicians. He has shot album covers for Billy Joel, Plácido Domingo, Natalie Merchant, and Isaac Stern among others. His work has been shown and collected in both the United States and Mexico including The McNay Museum, Blue Star Art Space, and the Instituto Cultural de México. His photography has been honored by Communication Arts, American Photography, The Society of Publication Designers, and The Art Directors Club of New York. Daniel is a recipient of the San Antonio Arts Foundation Grant. A native of Chicago, Borris has lived and worked in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
